Horta report

Mesmo sabendo que dificilmente conseguiremos dar saída a tanto legume, é tarefa hercúlea ir a um horto/ cantinho de aromáticas/ "supermercado de legumes" e não trazer to-das as variedades de couve e de pimentos, tomates e alfaces. Daí que ontem quis comprar beterraba. Bem, não foi só por isso. Faz montes de bem à saúde e eu tenho encontrado muitas receitas que estou disposta a experimentar. Eu sabia que tinha um bom motivo para gostar de pratos coloridos. Não falo da louça, essa quer-se branca e simples, falo da comida. Há que ver vermelhos, verdes, amarelos, roxos, laranjas, cada cor anuncia um benefício para a saúde. Também é por isto que há fruta da época. Isto da Natureza está muito bem feito. 

Anyway. 

Acrescentei coisas ao meu jardim de aromáticas, muitas delas gentilmente cedidas pela S. a saber: alfazema de dois tipos, segurelha, poejo, sálvia, orégão dourado, pimpinela e uma planta desconhecida, mas muito engraçada. A minha avó ligou incrédula à minha mãe, por me ver em tais lides. Por isso, para os mais descrentes, aqui fica a prova.

Garden report

Even though I know that hardly we will be able to eat all these vegetables, it is an herculean task going to a garden or a “vegetable supermarket" and not to bring tons of cabbage and peppers, tomatoes and lettuce plants. Hence, yesterday I wanted to buy beet. Well, that was not the only reason. It’s good for health and I have found many recipes that I'm willing to try. I knew I had a good reason to love colorful dishes. I speak not of the dishes themselves -  they are always simple white. I have to see red, green, yellow, purple, orange, each color announces a benefit to health. It is also why there are seasonal fruit. This Nature thing is wise.

Anyway.

I added things to my garden herbs, many of them kindly provided by S., namely two types of lavender, savory, pennyroyal, sage, golden oregano, pimpernel and an unknown plant, but very funny. My grandmother turned incredulously to my mother, to see me in such labors. Therefore, for the more sceptical  here is the proof.
